At the highest level, strategic change management is about defining and applying best practice. It is about planning and about securing buy-in from the people involved, that the change is necessary and that the planned change will achieve the desired result. Finally, strategic change is about control – ensuring that as we make the change that we realise the benefits necessary and ultimately achieve our goals.
Most such work in IPSI is organised into projects. A project is a collection of tasks that are linked to a specific and defined end state. The plan results in a schedule with a defined end date in mind. Projects can be client-focused, often in partnership with a project team in the client organisation, such as a new client take-on, or cross-client, such as the development of new capabilities for IPSI.
The Change Management function is both proactive and demand-driven, staffed by people who are competent in project and program management. We support business-led initiatives to improve the business and act as an honest broker; ensuring programs fit IPSI's strategy and giving an impartial assessment of the effectiveness of the projects.
